Welcome to Saint Isidore’s College.

In the manner of St. Francis of Assisi, we greet all of you, sisters and brothers, with peace and joy.

Saint Isidore’s College is owned by the Franciscan Province of Ireland, of the Order of Friars Minor (OFM). Today, in agreement with the Irish Province, the college is under the direct jurisdiction of the Minister General and is the home of the Collegium Sancti Bonaventurae – International Center for Franciscan Studies and Research.

The College also hosts theology students from the Irish Province who attend the various Pontifical Universities in the city.

The new community took office in November 2008, and today is made up of thirteen friars from the following countries: Ireland, Italy, Germany, Slovenia, Poland and the USA.

The main activities of the community are research and scientific publication, the formation of theology students and the care of two major research libraries.
